How early should I book my Wedding cars?

You should start looking at booking your Kombi for your wedding about 12months in advance as the calendar can fill up pretty quickly! If you have seen our Kombi and you know it is exactly what you want for your wedding, then don’t wait…book the kombi as soon as possible to avoid disappointment

How many Kombis do you have in your fleet?

We have a 1963 split screen Kombi . If you have a large bridal party we can accommodate 8 people.

I’m not sure about all the details for my Wedding yet?

That’s okay. You can still book to secure the vehicles and figure out all the finer details later on. If down the track you find you need to book our services for a longer period of time, we will sort it all out then. The most important thing, is that you will have secured the Kombi for your special event

How many passengers will fit in each Kombi?

The kombi can take up to 8 passengers, plus the driver. However 6 passengers is the ideal number as then the party is in the back all together enjoying the social scene for the occasion.

Can your Kombi cater for young children and infants?

As the kombi is not fitted with child restraints young children cannot travel in the kombi

After I have booked my Kombis, will someone call me to go through all the details of my Wedding?

Yes absolutely! A week before your big day, someone from Kombi Special Events will call you and go through the run sheet with you, to confirm they have all the details they need for the Wedding. They will confirm your start times for everything, pick up and drop off addresses, number of passengers etc, The Driver will then be provided with all the information to ensure everything goes smoothly for you on the day.

What wedding decorations do you have on the Kombis?

The Kombi comes with the classic white ribbons adorned on the front…looking elegant as always! However, every wedding is unique and everyone has different tastes of what they love…so if you would prefer a different colour ribbon we can change to suit you. 

Do your Kombis have air conditioning?

No they don’t, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a classic car of this age that has air con. However,  throughout the ride windows can be opened to let the breeze in. There is also an air flow system which runs through the Kombis to keep the air circulating. 

What if we go over our booked time period?

Each Kombi only takes one Wedding booking a day. Therefore, if you think you might go over time this isn’t a problem, you just need to let the Driver know and they will confirm it with our office. You will then receive an invoice for the extra time. We do however, recommend that you speak with your photographer prior to the Wedding day and let them know the time you have your cars booked for. This way everyone will know the schedule and your day should run smoothly.

Can my Photographer ride in the Kombi with us?

Absolutely! If there is room for them, then they are welcome to go in the Kombi during your photo session.

Can the Kombis be hired for self-drive?

Unfortunately the answer is no. Kombi Special Events is an Accredited business and due to insurance and authorisations, only our licenced drivers can drive the vehicle for the event. So sit back and relax while we do the work for you…and enjoy the ride!
